“It’s my first year coaching but not playing for Deep Space, so I reached out to Chesca when I saw the UKU post. We had a short but very useful chat in which I learnt loads very quickly about what I could do as a non-playing coach, and also some really important things that I should do regarding insurance and best practice. We’ve taken the info back into our club and it will definitely be useful for us when we look into getting coaches in the future - both when transitioning players to non-playing roles and if we look outside of the club to bring in coaches.” - Josh Coxon-Kelly
