UKU University Men’s Indoor Regionals (UMIR) 2023-24 (Sc, EL, NE & NW, SE, SW WM&W)


University Men’s Indoor Regionals (UMIR) will be held on this weekend for the following regions (please note that Yorkshire and East Mids UMIR was held on 4-5 Nov):

  • Scotland

  • East & London

  • North East and North West (Saturday 11th Nov Only)

  • South East

  • South West

  • West Mids & Wales

Entries are managed through BUCS. You must go to your AU so that they can enter you.

University teams are encouraged to have a Spirit Captain at all events. SOTG resources can be found here. Please ensure your Spirit scores are submitted promptly using the button which will be at the top of this page, ideally after each game or by the end of play on each day. Scored submitted after midnight on the last day of the event may not be included in Spirit data.

This event will follow the UKU Tournament Rules.

    • All players must have UKU Membership and be rostered to the relevant team on JustGO. Random roster checks will be carried out over the weekend - please ensure everyone has their student ID card with them. Full details on requirements for roster/eligibility checks can be found in the University Event Specific Rule Appendix of the UKU Tournament Rules.

    • Please only take water bottles and other essentials (such as inhalers) to the pitches. You must NOT have bags or other belongings on the sidelines. Only those playing current games should be on the pitches.

    • Post game calls and Spirit circles should be done off the pitches. Do not block public walkways or fire exits.

    • Remember it is never worth endangering yourself or others to get the disc. Always be aware of other players and your surroundings.

    Other info: No metal studs should be worn on the synthetic pitch. Moulded studs or cleats are recommended.

    There are important requirements about keeping bags at the edge of the room, and staying in certain areas when not directly involved in games. This is about maintaining the field in good condition, which affects the venue’s FIFA rating. Please respect these rules.

    This venue requires portable pitch lines. Please be careful when playing to avoid tripping over them.

    Drinking water fountains should be in operation.

    There is no food available on site and very few options within walking distance so we recommend bringing food for the day.

    Safety and Medical:

    Please remember that it is never worth endangering yourself or others to get the disc. You must remain aware of other players and your surroundings. Emergency first aid will be provided.

    Venue: Cranford Superdome, Cranford Community College, High St, Hounslow TW5 9PD

    Surface: Rubbercrumb

    Directions: The venue is best accessed from the M4 Eastbound/Westbound. Exit the M4 at J3, taking the exit onto the A312 (The Parkway) heading south at the roundabout. Take the first left onto High Street. Continue on High Street through 1 roundabout. Cranford Community College is on your left.

    Parking: If travelling by car or minibus, please use the car park to the north of the buildings. There is free car parking, but this is sometimes very busy so please give yourself enough time.

    Timing: 13:00-20:00 Saturday, 13:00-19:00 Sunday

    Other info: There are vending machines selling drinks and small snacks. There are other options within walking distance.

    Safety and Medical: We have dedicated first aid cover the tournament, which will available near the TD desk or another visible location.

    We encourage teams to bring along small first aid packages that they might have for minor injuries.

    Directions / Parking: Lots of parking available on site however please be aware that there is a parking charge. Please be aware that you will need to provide your registration to reception.

    Timing: Saturday 09:00-17:00, Sunday 09:00-17:00

    Please do not throw / warm up on the basket ball court unless given explicit permission from the venue staff.

    The on-site café is closed at weekends but provides a space to hang out between games. Please ensure you bring enough food for the day.

    Venue: University of Cardiff, Sports Training Village, Talybont, CF14 3AT (Please note that this a change from the original venue)

    Surface: Hardcourt

    Directions / Parking: Road access is via Western Avenue. Turn onto Excelsior Road (Tesco Extra turn off), at the roundabout take the first left and immediate first right into Talybont Student Residences.

    Parking is available at the sports centre - you will need to press the intercom at the gates to confirm you are playing at the frisbee tournament in the sports centre.

    Timing: Saturday 14:00-20:00, Sunday 09:00 - 15:00.

    Other info: The hall is quite tight so please keep the middle of the hall as empty as possible.

    There are only vending machines, but supermarkets and other food outlets are available within 3-4 minutes walk.

    Safety and Medical: First aid will be available at the TD desk.
